Every child, wherever in the world, has the same rights. These rights have been written down in the Internationale Convention for the rights of the child.

After twelve years the convention was expanded. On the 25th of mai 2000 two protocols were approved by the general meeting of the United Nations. The first protocol is to protect children in armed conflicts, the second protocol is to protect children who are being sold and abused. Both protocols are ratified by more than 140 countries.
