We at KIYO believe it is important to let those involved speak for themselves first.
Unfortunately, we know it isn’t always easy to let children participate. Too little thought goes out to the influence certain projects may have on children. Children’s opinions aren’t taken into consideration even though decisions may well have a big impact on their lives.
That is why we believe children and youngster should have a say in each project, from its preparation, through its implementation, right until its finalization.
KIYO would like to incite schools but also policy makers to actively work with children’s rights and to implement policies that not only support children’s rights but to make this happen with the guidance and cooperation of children and youngsters.
