Hélène Thijs

Hélène recently started her internship at KIYO, Team Belgium, in April 2024. Her primary focus will be on the YOUCA 2024 project, alongside other assignments.

Hélène has a strong interest in children's rights. She wrote her master's thesis on children's participation rights regarding disputes over custody arrangements in divorce cases. Additionally, she has been involved in youth work for quite some time. Initially, she served as a leader in a youth movement, later she became a member of the youth council in her hometown.

For Hélène, KIYO represents the perfect organisation to translate her passion for children's rights into action. She is highly motivated to contribute to the projects and to learn a lot along the way.
